It's difficult to step out in faith. We know the past & can feel secure in the present. The future, is unknown and risky. BUT when God leads - we can follow, confident that His way is best

busy times

Well... when you get home from vacation there is always so much to do.  Unpack, clean up, laundry, reconnect with friends and family.  AND we have family in from Omaha Nebraska & Holland, and my niece stayed over for two nights.  we have been busy.
My niece is the funniest little lady ever!! (she is 3)  Because all these people are here - she was so busy entertaining us all.  Singing dutch songs, lots of hugs and cuddles, and just being a ham.  At night she went to bed with NO problems at all. (makes us miss our fostering days)  But when her parents returned from their trip she was happy to go home :0)
Our dutch company left on Sunday.  It was nice to visit with them again.  Might be another 5-10 years before we see them again.
Our Omaha family ... it has been a busy 4 days.  Lots of visiting, dinners out, shopping - fun times.  They leave for a mini vacation up north tomorrow.
Remember my junk room --- ya i worked on it this week.... we now have a very nice spare bedroom.
So we have been busy... but things are good...
Tomorrow is wordless Wednesday - stay tuned for photos :0)

home sweet home

We packed and cleaned up the cottage and were out of there by 10:30.  We were so hot we decide to just go and trailer the boat and head for home.  Our original plan was to boat to Huntsville for lunch.
We made it home by 1ish.  Hit a bit of traffic - but least we are home safe.  I don't care to drive with the boat.
We had a great week away.  A cottage i HIGHLY recommend you rent (But not till we have given them our week, ha ha)
So nice to be home.

vacation - day 7

A place we hope to visit again next summer.  We had an awesome last full day here.  Yep tomorrow we head home.  Sad to leave this wonderful place but lots of memories have been made here... ones we will treasure forever.  Enjoy the photos of our last day.  Don't forget to click on the photos if you want to view them larger.

Jaci trying to push Jordan off of the boat....
Not sure who won - Jordan got her in the water.  But Jordan doesn't look to comfy.

vacation - day 6

We had some visitors today.  Spent the day on the water.  Here is it like Caribbean weather.  It is really windy, a warm wind.  Not to humid.  I hear not as hot as it is back home.  Yippee for the lake water.  Fun day.

Click on the photos to view them larger.  Oma and Opa are here for a visit with A.  She had a great time with cousin Jaci and Jordan.  In the water all day.  I have more photos but for some reason i can't get them on right now.  I will try later :0)
Tonight after dinner we all  to town and went for ice cream.  I think everyone in huntsville had the same idea :0)

boating back to the cottage from our dessert trip to the ice cream store in town.  Typical TK on his i-phone instead of looking at the nice sunset and other scenery.   well least he has my blog address.

vacation - day 5

Today we had to stay out of the sun.  Been getting to much the last few days.  So we went for a drive to Bala (the next cottage we are renting in Aug)  Very nice little town and we are excited about the next vacation as well.
We went by boat for dinner in Huntsville... it is about a 10 minute (not even) boat ride from the cottage here.  We can moor our boat right at the restaurant.   First time there and we really liked it - we will go back for sure.  Here is the link to the place if you ever visit by boat or vehicle.

Vacation - day 2

Here are a few photos from last nights sun set... absolutely beautiful!!  (Posting them now cause i can't wait till tonight to show you all)  So far this is a BEAUTIFUL place and i HIGHLY recommend it to everyone.  We are VERY pleased we chose this place to vacation at.  Sometimes on the internet it is hard to see what exactly you are renting.  Being here is way nicer then the photos show.

I am sure today will be FULL of water sports.  Link back up here if you want to see what happened today on the water.
